Many businesses, products, and places have names rooted in space and astronomy. We’re featuring them regularly on Seattle Astronomy.
Today we visit another astro-café—Neptune Coffee. The Neptune Coffee shop is conveniently located across the street from the Greenwood Space Travel Supply Company, which is the front for the Greater Seattle Bureau of Fearless Ideas, a nonprofit writing center for youth. Neptune often hosts BFI events, including this year’s Dwarf Planet Pride Day held on March 28. We shot the video below at the Pluto is a Planet Protest back in 2010. It still gets hits and views from folks searching on Pluto.
Neptune Coffee is—dare we say it?—out of this world! It’s a great spot to stop for a cup of joe after stocking up on space travel gear.
